Kelowna RCMP seize gun and drugs with search warrant

Kelowna man, 25, faces a number of possible charges.

The Kelowna RCMP executed a search warrant at a Rutland residence Thursday and seized drugs plus a number of firearms.

Assisted by the RCMP Southeast District Emergency Response Team, local cops searched a home in the 200-block of Dougall Road North and uncovered the following—a  loaded Tokarev 7.62 calibre handgun, a replica Beretta handgun, equipment capable of cloning credit cards and various small quantities of methadone, marijuana, methamphetamine, oxycodone, apo-temazepam, steroids, percocet and clonazepam.

Of the people in the house at the time, four women and a 19-year-old Penticton man were released without charges while a 25-year-old Kelowna man, Jesse KcKnight, remained under arrest as the investigation continues.

Police have deemed McKnight as  a prolific offender, as he now faces a number of possible firearms charges and was scheduled to appear in court today.
