A boutique long-term care facility is being proposed for Lake Country.

Troika Developments has submitted an application to the district to build a two-storey, 36-unit facility (Wood Lake Manor) at 11530 Turtle Bay Court.

The property is currently occupied by a single-family home, and the project requires rezoning to move forward.

A staff report notes that several nearby properties are in various stages of redevelopment.

A multi-family development is under construction at 3041 Woodsdale Road, and proposals for increased residential or tourist commercial density have been submitted for properties at the corner of Turtle Bay Court and Woodsdale Road.

Further east on Woodsdale, several townhouse developments have been built, with more townhouses and multi-family

buildings in the proposal stage.

Council will give initial consideration to Troika’s application at its July 4 regular council meeting.
