Update: Lake Country house fire causes $200,000 in damage

A Lake Country homeowner will be cleaning up the chared pieces of his home today, after a blaze caused about $50,000 in damage.

Fire crews in Lake Country responded to the blaze Monday night in the 9100 block of Glenmore Road.

The fire was reported about 9:30 p.m. after the owner returned home to find his house filled with black smoke.

According to fire chief Steve Windsor, the blaze started in the basement and appear to be caused by a mechanical issue.

No injuries were reported.
