Man taken to hospital with gunshot wound

Police say investigation into shooting incident Wednesday at Burtch Road residence is continuing.

Kelowna RCMP say a 47 year-old Kelowna man was taken to hospital Wednesday night after being shot in the leg.

The shooting occurred at about 5:45 p.m. in the 1900 block of Burtch Road.

Police says the shooting related injury was non life threatening but required treatment at Kelowna General Hospital.

No other injuries or shots were reported, says police.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have yet been laid.
