Kelowna driver suffered a cut.

Police say the driver of an excavator that rolled down an embankment at a Lake Country job site Tuesday morning suffered only a cut.

The incident happened at a construction site in the 5600-block of Oyama Road around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The 54-year-old Kelowna driver was taken to Lake Country Medical Clinic for treatment of a laceration, but was otherwise unharmed, said Const. Steve Holmes.

The excavator sustained damage and WorkSafeBC has taken over the investigation in the circumstances surrounding the accident.
