Snowy driving conditions today

Mountain passes have not seen an end to the snow just yet.

If you’re going to be driving through mountains, you may want to consider slowing down the shift into spring.

Winter tires are only required in higher elevations from Oct. 1 to March 31, but they will would come in handy today.

On the Okanagan Connector, from Merritt to Kelowna it’s expected to be cloudy with periods of snow beginning in the morning with five to 10 cm is expected to fall.

On Highway 3, near Princeton, a few early flurries are expected to leave two centimetres of snow on the road.

As the morning progresses it will change to rain and there’s a risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon.
