The stars will shine in the Okanagan.

Christina Ricci, John Cusack and Brendan Fletcher star in the thriller Distorted, which starts production in Vernon and Kelowna Sunday.

“We are pleased to be working again with Mind’s Eye Entertainment which set up an Okanagan office last spring,” said Jon Summerland, with the Okanagan Film Commission.

“They are bringing another full production to be shot in the Okanagan which is significant as the Okanagan is becoming more established as a full production film and television centre.”

“Christina, John and Brendan bring incredible talent to this project,” saidKevin DeWalt, chief executive officer of Minds Eye Entertainment.

“We’re honoured to work with such a high caliber of actors and can’t wait for fans to join our characters on this mind-bending story.”

Ricci plays an artist who suffers from bipolar disprder. When Ricci’s character and her husband, played by Fletcher, move, she suspects the building has a dark side and she turns to a journalist, played by Cusack, for help.

Minds Eye Entertainment was responsible for The Recall, starring Wesley Snipes, which was filmed in Vernon.
