Naked break-in foiled in Kelowna

Woman arrested after she was found hiding behind the home she tried to break into.

The Kelowna RCMP say a 24-yer-old woman remains in custody after a what the force describes as a bizarre attempt to break into at a residence in the city on Sunday.

On Aug. 6, at approximately 11:50 am, police received a report of an attempt break-in at a residence on Scharf Road in Kelowna.

The complainant told police a woman who was completely naked was attempting to kick her front door down as she and her children were inside the home. The victim confronted the woman and following a brief struggle, the naked suspect fled to the rear of the woman’s property.

RCMP officers went to the scene land found the 24-year-old woman hiding in a shed. The woman was arrested without incident and was remanded into custody. She was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
