Nine handguns stolen from Kelowna man

Kelowna cops looking for handguns stolen from safe.

A Kelowna man’s collection of handguns was stolen Friday night.

The Kelowna RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on the 2300 block of Stillingfleet Road, June 30 at 7:10 a.m.

“Apparently, sometime overnight, someone entered the garage through a small opening under the overhead door and pried open the gun safe located there,” said Const. Kris Clark.

“Inside the safe was a collection of various handguns, all registered to the homeowner. In all, nine firearms were stolen along with a Samsung cellular phone.”

No suspects have yet been identified.
