The Kelowna RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash after a pickup truck was driven into the side of a garage.

The Kelowna RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash after a pickup truck was driven into the side of a garage on Friday night.

Mounties received a report of a collision on the 400 block of Okaview Road,Oct. 13 at 2  a.m.

“Apparently, a Ford pickup truck missed the corner and went off-road to the right, across a front lawn and sideswiped the garage causing extensive damage,” said Const. Kris Clark.

“The driver of the truck fled on foot and was tracked by the Police Service Dog to the next block. It appears that the driver may have been pickup up in the area.”

Police have spoken with the owner of the vehicle, a 43 year old Kelowna man, who could faces fines in relation to the crash. The investigation is ongoing though and no charges have been laid.
