Pitbull missing after being thrown from car

A man involved in a single vehicle rollover near Carmi, B.C. is now sorely missing man's best friend.

A man involved in a single vehicle rollover¬†near Carmi, B.C. Monday may have only suffered minor injuries, but he is now sorely missing man’s best friend.

The Kelowna RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover near Highway 33 and the Trapping Creek Forest Service Road, Sept.  3 at 3:20 p.m.

“The driver, a 19 year old West Kelowna man, apparently fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the road, overturning the Toyota Tacoma he was driving,” said Const. Kris Clark.

“He suffered minor injuries, but is now missing his dog, Storm. The crash spooked the friendly grey Pitbull who ran off into the bushes. Storm was likely thrown from the vehicle during the collision and it is unknown what injuries he may have.”

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Storm is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
