UPDATE: Police incident unfolds in Kamloops

Police are on scene of multiple locations in the city

UPDATE: 2:53 p.m.

Little is being said about a police incident that unfolded in Kamloops today.

According to Kamloops this Week, RCMP held a perimeter around a Dallas neighbourhood, stopping residents from accessing their homes from Dallas Drive.

Mounties are not yet saying much about what is happening in the area, nor whether the situation is related to the increased police presence that has followed the recent murders of two men, believed to be gang-related.

A police incident is currently unfolding in Kamloops.

Very little information is being released at this time.

Officers are at numerous locations throughout the city.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says it is not believed that there is any risk to the public.
