Police reach dead end in abduction investigation

A 17 year old Kelowna man was assaulted Thursday night and taken away by three men in a pickup truck on the 500 block of Argyl Road.

Kelowna Mounties ran into a wall investigating a report of a teenager being beaten and abducted on the 500 block of Argyl Road.

RCMP received a report of a possible abduction, Thursday just before 11 p.m., said Const. Kris Clark.

“The Kelowna teen had apparently been jumped and taken away by three men in a truck but was later released by them with very minor injuries,” said Clark.

“He knew at least one of the three men, who were apparently looking for someone else. A 27 year old Surrey man, 23 year old West Kelowna man and a 19 year old Kelowna man were arrested but released without charges due to the victim’s unwillingness to co-operate.”

The three men are known to police.
