Pot smell detected by cop

The pungent smell of marijuana, venting from a house grow op in the early morning air tweaked the senses of a Lake Country RCMP officer who was patrolling in the area last week.

The pungent smell of marijuana, venting from a house grow op in the early morning air tweaked the senses of a Lake Country RCMP officer who was patrolling in the area last week.

The unique smell began an investigation that culminated in the execution of a drug search warrant, on a residence in the 11200 block of Okanagan Centre Rd. on May 12. Once inside the residence police located three pounds of drying marijuana. Eventually, a hidden underground bunker with 230 plants growing inside was also uncovered. Two males have been arrested and will face production of a controlled substances charges.
