Kelowna Fire Department officials marked the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the Word Trade Centre in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C and the downed hijacked airplane in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, with a brief ceremony at the main fire hall on Enterprise Way Tuesday morning. In addition to prayers and remarks by fire chief Jeff Carlisle, a bell was rung to mark the fact firefighters had fallen in the line of duty.
