A scooter driver was taken to hospital Monday morning after he was hit by a car.

According to Const. Ryan Routley, a woman was driving a Mercedes Kompressor east on Bernard Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on Monday when she changed lanes after seeing a vehicle starting to pull out of a parking stall.

As she changed lanes, she collided with a scooter.

The driver of the scooter was tended to by emergency crews and transported to hospital with what’s been described as non life-threatening injuries.

Motor Vehicle Act charges against the driver of the Mercedes are pending, police say.

Emergency crews were called and paramedics too
