Wet snow fell across Kelowna Tuesday night wreaking havoc on the roads.

About 6:30 p.m., seven vehicles were involved in a collision on Boucherie Road just past Stuart Road.

One lane had to be closed while emergency crews remained on scene. It’s unclear if anyone sustained any injuries although a witness says no one was taken to hospita in the ambulance.

It’s believed the road had just been plowed.

Environment Canada is forecasting five centimetres of snow overnight and into Wednesday morning.

Drivers travelling along the B.C. interior highways are warning other motorists of blowing snow and icy sections on the Coquihalla and Connector.

Social media reports indicate traffic was stopped about 6 p.m on the Coquihalla near the Box Canyon Chain up area to allow for maintenance crews to clear the highway.
