Snow creates challenging driving conditions

Snow causes havoc on the roads in the Okanagan.

Snow is falling throughout the Okanagan, Shuswap and Similkameen regions.

Motorists are advised to slow down and drive carefully.

As of 6 a.m. Monday, these were the conditions for the major routes in the region:

Trans-Canada Highway

Compact snow with slippery sections from Monte Creek to Sorrento

Compact snow with slipper sections from Sorrento to Sicamous

Compact snow with slippery sections from Sicamous to Craigellachie

Highway 6

Compact snow with slippery sections from Vernon to the Monashee Summit. May be sections of limited visibility with blowing snow.

Highway 97

Compact snow with slippery sections from Osoyoos to Kelowna.

Compact snow with slippery sections from Lake Country to Falkland. May be sections of limited visibility with blowing snow.

Highway 97A

Compact snow with slippery sections from Vernon to Mara. May be sections of limited visibility with blowing snow.

Highway 97B

Compact snow with slippery sections from Enderby to Salmon Arm. May be sections of limited visibility with blowing snow.

Westside Road
