A man caught speeding down Highway 3 west of Osoyoos by RCMP ended up in cuffs after police discovered an array of illegal items in his vehicle.

Just before noon on Jan. 2, police pulled over a vehicle for speeding; however the driver allegedly had no identification.

According to Cpl. Ryan Mcleod, an investigation into the driver’s identity led to his arrest and search of the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle officers discovered cocaine, heroin, marijuana and magic mushrooms, along with several knives and bear spray.

The 40-year-old man turned out to be wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants for breach of probation and failing to attend court.

The Okanagan Falls man was held in custody facing new charges and appeared in Penticton Court on Tuesday.
