Stolen cheques lead Kelowna RCMP to arrest four from Penticton

Three men and a woman from Penticton have been arrested after trying to rip off the Harvey Avenue Money Mart

A carload of Pentictonites are under arrest after trying to cash stolen cheques in Kelowna.

On Wednesday, three men and one woman from Penticton were arrested after trying to cash stolen cheques at the Money Mart located at Harvey Avenue and Gordon Drive.

The suspects’ vehicle was stopped by police as the crew tried to leave and the vehicle revealed a slough of potential crimes.

Numerous charges are recommended against the four including possession of stolen property, identify theft, counterfeiting and possession of controlled substance. They are due to appear in court today in Kelowna.
