Street sweeping underway in West Kelowna

The District of West Kelowna has begun street sweeping in the community.

The sweeping has started in neighbourhoods within West Kelowna that are at lower elevations and will eventually work upwards.

Signage will be placed in neighbourhoods indicating when sweeping is anticipated to begin and while street sweeping is underway.

Residents are reminded to help the district by keeping roadways clear of parked vehicles and any other obstructions during these times. They’re also asked to ensure household recycling and waste loads are secure to help keep streets clear of debris.

Sweeping is anticipated to take approximately three months to complete.

This is the first year the district is responsible for street sweeping services.
