Thwarted break in lands Kelowna man in the clink

A 32 year old Kelowna man faces potential charges of Break and Enter and Commit, and Possession of Stolen Property.

A 32 year old Kelowna man is in custody after he apparently broke into a home on Irma Road this afternoon.

The Kelowna RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress,  May 24  at 1p.m.

“A man was spotted inside a residence on the 600 block of Irma Road by a neighbourhood resident,” said Const. Kris Clark.

“The report indicated that the man did not belong and it was believed that he had forced his way into the house. Police apprehended the suspect a short distance away from the residence. The man appeared to be under the influence of drugs at the time of his arrest.”

The 32 year old Kelowna man faces potential charges of Break and Enter and Commit, and Possession of Stolen Property. He is expected to attend Court Friday morning.
