Two arrested after bait car stolen in Kelowna

Bait car taken from downtown core on Sunday evening.

Two people are expected to appear in court after being arrested in a bait car over the weekend.

Around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, RCMP received confirmation that a bait car had been stolen from the downtown core.

“Fifteen minutes after the bait car was stolen, Kelowna RCMP members successfully stopped the vehicle and took two Kelowna residents, a male, aged 35, and [a] 28-year-old female, into custody,” said Const. Steve Holmes.

The two face charges of theft under $5,000 and are expected to make court appearances today (Monday).
