UPDATE: Another crash on Highway 33

Highway 33 is partially closed in Joe Rich

UPDATE: 4:12 p.m.

DriveBC is reporting the earlier crash on Highway 33 is now clear at Peregine Road.

However, another incident is being reported on Highway 33 near Greystokes Road. Two vehicles are reportedly involved.

UPDATE: 2:06 p.m.

Emergency crews are recovering a vehicle from a ditch along Highway 33, following a crash.

Highway 33 is open to single alternating traffic.

A detour around the area is not available right now, and traffic is reported to be backed up in the area.

Emergency crews are on scene of a crash on Highway 33 in Joe Rich.

Witnesses say police are closing part of the highway at Peregine Road.

There are reports two vehicles were involved in the collision and one of the vehicles might be in the ditch.

It’s unclear how many people were injured.

Icy roads and winter conditions have caused several incidents on the roads, Friday morning, including a fatality on Highway 97 near UBC Okanagan.
