The West Kelowna Firefighters embraced the cold over the weekend.

Their annual ice rescue training excursion took the firefighters outside and on to the ice.

“Just a tad chilly out there doing our annual ice rescue training, but worth the knowledge and practice,” reads a social media post from the West Kelowna firefighters.

“Let’s hope it’s a practice we never have to use.”
