West Kelowna RCMP attempted to stop a 37 year old prohibited driver a number of times, but he stayed on the run so the Mounties went another route. In the interest of public safety, West Kelowna RCMP requested and obtain an arrest warrant for the man.

“West Kelowna RCMP along with the South East District Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Criminal Code arrest warrant on a 37-year-old West Kelowna man,” said Cpl. Joe Duncan. “The warrant was executed in the 1000 block of Caledonia Way.”

The 37-year-old man was taken into custody without incident and faces potential charges of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle under the Criminal Code as well as Drive while Prohibited x 2 under the Motor Vehicle Act.

The man will be held in custody for court on Dec.17.
