A West Kelowna woman seemed to be on the right track, but next time she needs the bus she’d be better off walking there.
West Kelowna Mounties received a report of a hit and run on the 3500 block of Webber Road, June 1 just before 1 a.m.
“Witnesses stated that a blue Mazda hit the bench at a bus stop and drove away, dragging its bumper,” said Const. Kris Clark.
“Police located the vehicle on Gorman Road and found the driver to be showing signs of impairment. She failed a roadside test and was transported to the Kelowna RCMP Detachment. The driver provided breath samples which were twice the legal limit.”
The woman, who potentially faces impaired-driving related charges, was released on a Promise to Appear for Court in August.
