Wildfire discovered east of Naramata

The blaze is 0.5 hecatres in size

A new wildfire has been discovered east of Naramata, close to Highway 33.

The Sterling Creek wildfire was found at 3:35 Thursday afternoon (Aug. 10).

It is currently 0.5 hectares in size and remains out of control. It was caused by lightning, according to BC Wildfire Services.
