The world’s fastest log will be making a pit stop in Kelowna.

The star of HGTV’s Timber Kings Brian Reid Sr. will be on-site at Savoy Equipment with his Guinness Record-holding car, made out of a single 240-year-old red cedar.

“We are extremely excited to host Mr. Reid and this very special car. We have been working for quite some time to bring it to Kelowna and we hope to raise a notable amount for the Canadian Kidney Foundation. Everyone is invited to stop by the store to take advantage of this rare opportunity, and contribute to the cause if they can,” said Savory Equipment marketing manager Ally Turner.

The vehicle will be available for viewing to the public on June 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds from the event will be benefiting the Canadian Kidney Foundation, BC & Yukon Branch.

The vehicle’s presence is entirely by-donation from Pioneer Log Homes and Bryan Reid Sr. A by-donation draw will be held with a a prize of a Husqvarna tractor. Minimum donation to enter the draw will only be $5, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, BC & Yukon Branch.

The prize draw also includes items generously donated by Echo, Stihl, and Toro. For those not interested in the prize draw, there will also be a by-donation BBQ lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Winners will be drawn at 12:50 p.m. and winners must be present to claim their prize.
