With family by her side, Agnes Neufeld passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at home on October 4, 2021.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years Carl; her three children Ron (Kathaleen), Teresa, and Laura; four grandchildren Jessica (Jeremy) Wheeler, Greg Wallman, Michael (Cindy) Neufeld, and Jordan (April) Neufeld; four great-grandchildren Myra and Emmett Wheeler, and Vanessa and Avery Neufeld; her sisters Phyllis, Florence, Bernice, and Marie; brothers Robert and Art; daughter-in-law Kathy (Peter); and a large extended family.
She goes to join those who have gone before her: birth-mother Edith Messear; parents, Henry and Helen Friesen; brother Verne Friesen; sister Dorothy; and sadly, her beloved son Glenn (d. 2010).
We will always cherish the times we had and the loving and stable home she provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada, als.ca.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Springfield Funeral Home. For those who were unable to attend, the family welcomes all to view the recording of the service to honour Agnes.
