November 28,1959 – November 5, 2013
“Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves”.
Each of us who knew and loved Alison basked in the glow of her love, kindness and strength. Her life has taught that no mountain is too high to climb and that each day brings new possibilities. In 1959 ‘Ali’ was born to Marguerite
Bernard of Kelowna, BC and David Bernard of Carstairs, AB. She had a happy childhood growing up in New Zealand, Alberta and British Columbia. Though
diagnosed with juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at a young age, it didn’t stop her from keeping up with her siblings Diane, Judy, Brian, Robyn and her love of children made her a favourite auntie to her nieces and nephew. Her sunshine continues to light our hearts until we are with her again. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Ali’s loving spirit, do something kind for someone today. May God bless you as you shine on “Our Sweet Girl”.
