May 18, 1929 - Nov 2, 2017
Camilla (Carmie) Agnes Eppler passed away peacefully, November 2, 2017 in Kelowna General Hospital.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Emil Eppler, daughters: Dianne Eppler Neufeld, Donna Farrow (Peter), grandchildren: Lindsay Neufeld, Kelsey Neufeld, David Harris (Allison), great grandchildren: Tessa and Stella Harris; her brother Carl Madey (Betty) and her niece Claudette Laffey (Sandi).

Camilla was born in Wynyard, Saskatchewan on May 18, 1929. She lived with her family on the family farm until she moved to Banff, to Vancouver, and then to Kamloops where she worked as a nurses aide. She met her future husband, Emil, in Kamloops, married, had her twin daughters, and lived a very busy, extended family life there for eleven years.

The family moved to Dawson Creek, to Nanaimo, to Chilliwack, then to Kelowna. As well as being a wife and mother "extraordinaire", full of life, loving and caring, she will be remembered for her fantastic cooking ability. Carmie was a very gifted seamstress, one who could fashion beautiful coats and dresses, as well as repair any article of clothing presented to her.

She had a wonderful sense of humour and gracious entertaining abilities. She loved to make family and friends feel welcome in every way, always providing comfortable lodging and lovely meals for all. She was an enthusiastic fishing companion, was very lucky in her ability to catch salmon, and always "up" for a travel adventure.

Emil and his family would like to extend a huge thank you to Dr. Ketch, all of the specialists who contributed to her care, and the fantastic, helpful nursing/support staff of the 6th floor team. All were so wonderful in caring not only for her but also her family. We had so many questions and all of the staff were so patient, helpful, and informative with us.

No service by request....a small gathering of family to celebrate her life will take place at a later date.
