Dennis Edward Diosy passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81. A funny and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Dennis is survived by his wife Shirley of 61 years, his children Debbie-Lou (Don), Bradley, Todd and Charmaine (Ryan). He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren Shawn, Steven (Monica), Edward, Jase, Clara and great-grandson Darnell. He also leaves behind his sister Loretta of Vancouver, BC and his brother Mervyn (Linda) of Kelowna, BC, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Dennis was born on a farm in Saskatchewan to Joe and Ellen Diosy. They later moved to Creston, BC where he met his wife Shirley and in 1956 they married and together had 4 children. While in Creston he worked as a Bridgeman building tressels for the CPR Railway. In 1967 the family moved to Kelowna, BC. He worked for Westmills Carpet, Vanguard and Frontier Trailers.

Before he retired at the age of 65, he worked for Oyama Forest Products logging which he enjoyed the most. His favorite pastimes were camping, fishing and in his later years gardening as well as spending many sunny afternoons napping on the patio swing.

In our hearts he will always be loved and remembered. As he would always say ''baby steps....."

His wishes were to be cremated.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
