In loving memory of Doreen Theresa Henderson. This lovely lady passed away with her family present on November 23 at her home in West Kelowna following a few weeks of rapidly declining health.
Doreen was born in Norwood, St. Boniface (Winnipeg), Manitoba to Pearl and Bill Derhak. Brother Norman, predeceased his older sister at an early age.
She was married at 19 to Kenner. They travelled globally including working at a young age in the U.S. This August would have been their 62nd Wedding Anniversary.
Son, Michael, arrived in 1971. Some years later Doreen is remembered telling him "...Hurry up and give me a granddaughter!"
Michael and Christina have two daughters, Taylor Mae and Mackenzie Pearl, who miss their grandmother. Both were so precious to Doreen.
Doreen will always be remembered for her kindness to others, sense of humour, quick wit and bubbling positive outlook on life.
A celebration of life is planned in the New Year.
