Mar 25, 1935 - Apr 23, 2018
The daughter of John and Margaret Anderson, Eleanor was born and raised in Kelowna. She graduated from KSS and became a registered nurse, but following her marriage to Dudley Pritchard, dedicated herself to raising her four children.

Eleanor lived most of her life on the lake below Mission Hill, and with Dudley was an avid sailor and skier. She was a remarkably strong woman who set an example of perseverance and purposeful living that was admired by those who met her.

Despite a progressive sight loss that left her unable to drive in her twenties and led to 30 years of guide dog use, Eleanor lived a full life. With Dudley, she was a long-time member of the Kelowna Yacht Club and weekly sailboat racing scene, and she enjoyed weekends skiing.

Later in life she was very involved with the CNIB South Interior Region as Chairman of the Board, Chair of the Client Services Committee, and representative of the South Interior on the CNIB National Board. Eleanor is survived by her sons John (Elke), Mark (Vicki), Andrew (Alison), and daughter Jane (Mitch), as well as twelve grandchildren (Joey, Ruth, Sarah, Kirstin, Michael, Travis, Caitlin, Libbie, Sam, Aidan, Amarea, and Ashton).

A memorial service will be held at St. Michael & All Angels' Cathedral Church, 608 Sutherland Avenue on Saturday, May 19 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or BC and Alberta Guide Dogs.
