passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He is lovingly remembered by his wife Eunice (nee Hughes) of 49 years, his son Kevin (Barb) of Kelowna and granddaughters Mandy & Jayla, daughter Karen (Leon) Fleischhacker of Humboldt, SK, and grandsons Reid and Ryan, son Terry (Lenka) of Calgary and grandson Kodie, brothers Wilferd (Anna) of Calgary and Leonard (Janice) of Omaha, NB, sisters Dorothy (Art) Klause of Saltcoats, SK, and Imogene Eickhoff of Omaha, NB and numerous nieces and nephews.  Glen was born October 30, 1935 at Flat Valley, SK.  His early years were spent in Yorkton, SK, where he completed high school.  He started his career with SaskTel in 1956 in Regina and then spent 13 years in Moosomin, SK.  He was transferred back to Regina in 1972.  Glen retired in 1991 after 35 years of service.  He and Eunice moved to Kelowna, BC, in 2004.  He was always involved in community work:  SaskTel Pioneers, Kinsmen-K40, United Way, Ranch Ehrlo Society and the Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed golfing, reading, fishing, oldtimers hockey and spending time with his family.  A special thank you to all professional caregivers, family and friends who made Glen’s last days comfortable.  Memorial donations to First Lutheran Church, “Carrying it to Completion” 4091 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC, or the Cancer Center of the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5L3.  Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 2:30 pm at First Lutheran Church, 4091 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting, 250-860-7077.
