Glen House passed away on December 2, 2010 at the age of 84. He grew up on a farm near Barons, Alberta and enjoyed a 35-year career as a pilot with Air Canada. He was a lifelong Mason and spent much of his retirement sailing Florida and the Bahamas with his wife, Betty. He will be missed.
Glen is survived by daughters Leslie Alvo and Laurie (Don) Thompson, grandchildren Sean (Kelly) Clapham, Erin (Mike) Pridmore, Megan Alvo, Kate Alvo and Brett Thompson, and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty and his son, Donald. A memorial service will be held at Springfield Funeral Home in Kelowna on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception at 1072 Lanfranco Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Society British Columbia, 600-890 West Pender Street, Vancouver, BC V6C 1J9.
