Went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2016 at the age of 87 at The Logan Manor in Agassiz, BC. Survived by her daughter Wendy Lynne Margaret (Don) Miller of Chilliwack, BC; sons Victor (Barbara A.) Maylon of Abbotsford, BC, Wade A. (Maureen) Meszaros of Hamilton, ON; grandchildren Andrew, Tayler, Tessa, Sarah, Kaylee and Jessica; great grandchildren Chloe; cousins Emma Meszaros, Ed and Connie Meszaros of ON, and cousins in Hungary. Predeceased by her husband Donald R. Green on May 28, 2013.
Helen Eve (nee Meszaros) Martinow Green, was born
January 3, 1929 in Budapest, Hungary. She arrived in Leask, Saskatchewan in 1930 with her father, 8 uncles, an aunt and her grandparents to homestead for the next 10 years, after which they relocating to Mission, BC with her father and step-mother in 1940. Helen graduated when she was 16 years old and began her career as a Psychiatric Nurse in 1952. Over the years she was blessed with 3 children. Helen remarried in 1982 to Donald R. Green in Kelowna, BC, together they travelled extensively Helen began painting in her seventies, was an animal lover, enjoyed music and was an avid gardener. Most importantly she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Interment to follow at Kelowna
