Died peacefully in her sleep November 21st. Anne and I were with her, in her home at Mountainview Village.
Helga was born in Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia. After the war she moved to Bamberg, Germany, where she met her future husband (Jack). They immigrated to Steinbach, Manitoba in 1949.
She is survived by her son Jack Jr and Michael (Anne).
The staff at Mountainview Village were great: professional, gentle, kind and caring. During long COVID absences, we were always confident Mom was receiving the best of all possible care. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Mountainview Village in Kelowna or Friends Housing Inc. in Winnipeg.
92 years, survived the Nazis, got 2 university degrees, built Friends Housing, was a good Mom and a good person. She done good!
