PODMOROFF, HELEN

Helen Podmoroff passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long and

courageous battle with cancer, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver on Easter Sunday March 27, 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Podmoroff of Vancouver; son, Ivan Podmoroff and daughter in-law, Terry Foster of New Westminster; brother, Nick and sister in law Mary Repin and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband John Podmoroff, her parents, Nick and Helen Repin; brother Pete Repin; and her sisters, Polly Zoobkoff; Molly Stoochnoff, Elsie Rozinkin, and Nellie Berekoff. Helen was born on March 31, 1944 in Nelson B.C. and grew up in the Kootenays.After meeting her husband John, she got married in 1966 and moved to Kelowna in 1967, where their kids were born and raised. Helen was an accomplished woman, who counselled at Hope House in Vancouver, and was trained in acupuncture as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese medicine. Helen will be remembered for her loving care, and hospitality. She will be missed dearly. A celebration of Life will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
