INEZ Trevisanutto

INEZ Trevisanutto, a woman whose love of life touched all who knew her, died peacefully in Kelowna, surrounded byher family at the age of 90 years old.  The matriarch of a five generation family, she was born on October 20, 1918 inFort William.  Inez grew up near the coal docks where the lesson of “delighting in the simple things in life” was ingrained by her parents.  She met Ottorino (Buck)Trevisanutto and their love blossomed. They were married in 1940 and with an incredible work ethic; they founded The Village Market Gardens. She said “no matter what is happening in someone’s life, they are always happy when they shop for flowers.  As a mother and grandmother, her love had no limits. She cheered for generations of children in various sports and always cheered for the other side too. With an unwavering positive attitude, she cultivated many friendships spanning 90 years.  A pot of chicken soup, warm peanut butter cookies and a vibrant smile were her trademarks.  She was predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Rosina Zuliani, husband Buck, grandson Joe Trevisanutto and brother Brini. She will be lovingly and forever remembered by her son Dennis (Louise), daughters Susanne (Dennis) Young and Tina (Dale) Kulifaj and many other family members and friends.  Funeral services will held in Thunder Bay, Ontario Friday July 17. Condolences may be made  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday Sept 1st at 7:00 pm at Village at Smith Creek inKelowna.  Inez was always described as “ray of sunshine” by all who knew her including the nursing home caregivers in her final hours.  By her request, at the time of her passing, we include this message: “Keep on being friendly, kind, loving, understanding to one another.
