Lau was born March 12, 1929 in Erfurt, Germany and passed away on January 11, 2009 in Kelowna, BC. She was the youngest of three children and attended schools in Erfurt and Berlin. After the war, Inge took out an apprenticeship to become a librarian because of the situation of the Russians occupying part of East Germany, she escaped to West Germany and worked as an office clerk and secretary. In 1970 Inge emigrated with her son Peter to Canada and lived in Calgary. In 1981 she married Karl and they moved to Westbank in 1988. Survived by her loving family, husband Karl, son Peter and granddaughter Samantha. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 23rd, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers donations to the Scleroderma Association of BC, Box 218, Delta Main, Delta, BC V4K 3N7 in memory of Inge would be appreciated.
