Stein, Ingrid born Jan. 15, 1924 in Norway passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 27, 2018 in Kelowna, at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Peter; her daughter Dianne Holmes (2011); grandson Darek Mitchell (2017), she is survived by her sons Robert, Leroy (Penny); daughter Linda Hayes (Randy May); seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson.
Ingrid worked at the Bay Copperhead Restaurant for 20 years and was a member of the Sons of Norway. Ingrid and Peter loved to travel to Yuma, Arizona, Norway and New Zealand and they loved bowling, square dancing, and card games. Ingrid loved baking Norwegian flatbread, lefse and fattigman and skrull.
A special thanks to all the staff at Spring Valley Care Facility for their loving care and kindness over the past eight months.
