BOYARCHUK, Jeanette

Jeanette M. Boyarchuk went to be with the Lord on

August 14th 2016 at the age of 54. Survived by her loving husband Ronnie W. Boyarchuk, daughter Téa C. N. Boyarchuk of Vancouver, sisters Marion Tyson of New York, Helena Liberd of St. Kitts, Hyacinth Hendricks of the Virgin Islands, Angelica Baker of the Virgin Islands, Delores Tyson of the Virgin Islands, Florence Carty of St. Maarten, and Trudith Knight of Chilliwack, brothers Morris Boyarchuk of Surrey, William Thompson of England, Stanley Maynard and Edwin Stapleton of the Virgin Islands, and Emanual Stapleton of St. Maarten, in-laws Audrey and Lorraine Boyarchuk, as well as many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.  Predeceased by her father, Charles Saunders and sister Geraldine Finch.  Gone too soon; Jeanette was born on the sleepy little island of St. Kitts in the middle of the Caribbean in August 1961 to Cecilia and Charles Saunders and a family of six sisters and four brothers. She received her education in St. Kitts, St. Thomas and St. Maarten with further degrees in Restaurant and Hospital Management as well as Time Share Sales and Service then joined the workforce as a bookkeeper for a marina in Saint Maarten before moving to the Holland House Hotel where she worked her way up to assistant manager.  While working there she met her husband Ronnie Boyarchuk who was transferred to a bank in the Caribbean where he traveled all of the Dutch islands. They were married in 1994 and their union brought forth a child, Téa Cecelia Nadia Boyarchuk over whom she expressed love and fondness.  The family moved to Kelowna, British Columbia in 1998 and soon after Téa was enrolled into Aberdeen Hall where she excelled, and Jeanette being a doting mother cheerfully volunteered for any duties offered by the school. She eventually took over the hot lunch program and expanded it from 1 to 3 days a week. While there and in other volunteer projects (church and hospital) she made a myriad of friends who admired her for being a soft spoken gentle woman who was exceptionally kind to all that she met.  She specifically wanted to mention her special loving friends who have stood by her from the day they met: Carol, Mary, Michelle, Sherrie, Louise, Mylene, Charmaine, Trudith and Ruby.  Memorial services will be held on August 20th 2016 at 1 PM at Springfield Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.
