John’s middle name was “Music”. He started playing

At age 50 he learned to play the clarinet, and saxophone,

John retired from teaching school in 1973. His passion for music kept him very busy conducting Church choirs,

competing in fiddle contests, singing & playing for church services, dances, sing-a-longs etc.

John joined the Kelowna Old Time Fiddlers in 1991 and

continued to share his gift of music by entertaining at

seniors homes, and other venues even after reaching

his 99th birthday.

We wish to extend a big thank you to the staff at 3 Links Manor for the wonderful care they gave him in the last weeks of his life.
