GRIEVE, John (Jack) Wilbert 1925-2009  Formerly of R.R. #6 Guelph Ontario and passed away at Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Ruth Fry of

Kingston, England. Father of three sons, Paul (Penny), Roy (Louise) and Gary (Sandi), one daughter, Kim (Peter) Ardley, five grandchildren, John Grieve, Justin and Shelby Ardley, Kyla and Rhonda Young, one brother, Clarence (Shirley) of Jackson’s Point, Ontario, several cousins, brothers, sister in law’s in England, Canada and USA. Jack grew up on a small farm near Guelph, but milking cows was not to his liking, also seeing his brother Clarence and several friends in the Air Force looked more exciting. To young at the time he drove a dry cleaning truck until the magic date for

enlistment. After a short time in Canada he transferred to England to help put an end to the war day in Germany. Jack was captured at the end of hostilities (Not by the enemy) but by a beautiful young English girl, Ruth. After twenty seven and a half years in the RCAF and millions of miles, they retired to Kelowna and was urged to sell Real Estate for the next 18 years and then finally retirement. A memorial service will be held on Monday July 13, 2009

at 11:00am from Everden Rust Funeral Services. 1910 Windsor Rd, Kelowna. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Arthritis Society 200-1645 West 7th, Ave. Vancouver, BC V6J 1S4. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting   250-860-6440
