NIKIFORUK, John Born in Vegreville, AB, on October 15, 1931, passed away February 25, 2011 with his family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Mary who migrated from the Ukraine. He will be forever remembered by the love of his life and wife of 56 years Anne, and his three children Doug (Jan) Kelowna, Tracy (John) Kelowna and Alan (Melanie) Maple Ridge; his six grandchildren, Alex (Tricia) and Holly, Amber and Shane, Brooklyn and Colton and many nieces and nephews along with many cousins here and in the Ukraine. He also leaves to mourn his long time friends Russell Senenki (Mary) and Adam Baziw (Oksana). John worked many different jobs but his legacy was his long career at HFC where he mentored many and was greatly respected and admired. John had a passion for hockey, gardening, the computer and golfing but his true love was travelling the world. Having visited over 85 countries John kept in touch with those he met along the way and touched the lives of many. Special thanks to Dr.’s McCauley, Wickstrom, Holmes and Foster and to the nurses at KGH for their care and compassion.
