PLANZ, Karin Astrid (nee Berndt), age 77 returned to her heavenly home on July 26, 2016.
Karin was born to Otto and Hedwig Berndt in Gnadenfeld, Germany on August 20, 1938. Karin immigrated to Canada in September 1958 and shortly after met Klemens. In 1966 they married and started their family.
Karin is survived by twin brother Udo, sons Dieter (Jeaneen), Brent (Wanda) & Mark (Lisa) and grand-daughters Nikita & Katana. She is pre-deceased by her husband Klemens, and siblings Manfred, Ingeborg, Dieter, Armin and Sigrid.
She will always be remembered for her devotion to family, friends and faith.
Karin’s life will be commemorated with a funeral service & reception officiated by Rev. Patricia Giannelia at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church at 2091 Gordon Drive on August 8 at 1:30pm. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Central Okanagan Hospice House.
