Lawrence Buchanan Martell passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Kelowna at the age of 82 years. Lawrence was born in Edmonton on June 23, 1934, moved to Calgary in 1967 where he worked for the Government of Alberta until he retired in 1989 and moved to Kelowna.
He was a good father and grandfather and is survived by his son Brian, daughter Susan and son-in-law, David, and their children Curtis, Emily and Gregory. He was predeceased by his common-law wife, Harriette Donaur, in 2007. The family wishes to thank the staff of Three Links Manor for their excellent care of Laurie over the last years of his life. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
