Lonney John Koral

Lonney John Koral

July 31, 1962 – November 6, 2013

It is with heavy hearts and loving memories that we announce the passing of Lonney John Koral, whose kind, gentle demeanour touched so many people in all

different walks of life. Lonney was born in Edmonton, Alberta on July 31st, 1962, but lived here in the Okanagan the majority of his life. He leaves behind his wife Kiana, of 26 years, his parents Joe and Doreen, his sisters; Roxanne

(Marcel), Jo-Anne (Todd) and Bev, his nieces and nephews, best friend Ralf and many others. Lonney has left a lasting impression to all who knew him, even those he just met on the street. We will all miss him dearly and think about him often. Lonney fought the big fight with Cystic Fibrosis aggressively, especially over the last 10 years of his life; always with the belief that he would ” ….beat this thing”. Tragically, it took him in the end, but we all admired his courage and strength through this incredible battle. “You are in a much better place Lon, and we know that you will be rewarded for your kindness, achievements and struggles. Till we meet again…..it’s not good-bye, ….It’s see you later. We love you Lon!” A Celebration of Life is being planned for the coming spring, 2014. In lieu of flowers, Lon’s family are accepting donations in his memory to purchase a Memorial Bench. Cheques can be made to payable to his wife, Kiana Koral at the Interior Savings Credit Union, 3718 Elliot Rd., West Kelowna, BC 250.469.6550.
